REBLOG 5,000,000 TIMES
WHERE ARE THERE SO LITTLE NOTES YOU GUYS
REBLOG THIS SAVE SOME LIVES.
I can’t not reblog.
I care too much.
reblogging this to remind myself to donate when I get my purse
reblogging this because I really want them to live like we do.
A MUST TO REBLOG
PLEASE REBLOG. I don’t care if it’s truth or not. But it may be, and you have to understand that this is REALLY important. When you get your hands dirty you just go to the bathroom and clean them. Well this people can’t, and they can’t shower either. And they need that water to drink it, and to stay alive. There’s people out there suffering, and just by reblogging you can help them. So please, I don’t care if this doesn’t fit your blog, this is actually worth it.
Here’s the First Look at the New Satanic Monument Being Built for Oklahoma’s Statehouse
In January the Satanic Temple announced plans to erect a monument glorifying the Dark Lord on the front lawn of the Oklahoma Statehouse. An Indiegogo campaign was launched with what seemed like a somewhat lofty goal of $20,000, but by the time donations ended almost $30,000 had been raised. Now an artist trained in classical sculpture is toiling away in New York, crafting a Baphomet figure sitting beneath a pentagram and flanked by two children gazing upward in loyalty. When it is finished, it will be cast in bronze and, the Satanists hope, eventually displayed in Oklahoma.
The statue is a direct response to the state’s installation of a Ten Commandments monument outside the Capitol in 2012. State Representative Mike Ritze paid for the controversial statue with his own money, and therefore it was considered a donation and OK to place on government property. Following that line of reasoning, the Satanic Temple submitted a formal application for their monument.
As Trait Thompson of the Oklahoma Capitol Preservation Commission told CNN last December, “Individuals and groups are free to apply to place a monument or statue or artwork.” The applications are then approved or rejected by the Commission. Unfortunately, the state has placed a halt on issuing permits for any other monuments until a lawsuit filed by the ACLU against Ritze’s Commandments monument is settled.
I’m laughing so hard I love this I’m so happy
Why doesn’t the Baphomet have boobs? I was under the impression that breasts were an important element in the Baphomet’s androgyny and use of opposing binary symbols to represent the “sum total of the universe”
I’ve only seen that done maybe once or twice. Also I’m super pleased, I gave money to this project. Nice to see it coming to fruition.
From a purely factual & scientific perspective
Psychpathy is a personality disorder. It doesn’t appear as a formal diagnosis in the DSM (Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders) but it is closely associated with antisocial personality disorder or dissocial personality disorder. Here are some of the characteristics.
- superficial charm
- grandiose sense of self-worth
- pathological lying
- lack of remorse
- emotional shallowness,
- lack of empathy
DIFFERENCE BETWEEN SOCIOPATH AND PSYCHOPATH
Sociopaths and psychopaths have many characteristics in common but one key difference is that sociopaths may form emotional bonds between people, while psychopaths are unable to. It’s is believed that psychopathy is the result of genetics and faulty wiring in the brain while for sociopaths it is a result of a traumatic childhood and their environment.
FAULTY BRAIN WIRING
Research from Georgetown University hints that the brain of a psychopath has a smaller and thinner amygdala, the part of the brain that recognizes fear. This may explain why they aren’t afraid and can’t exhibit fear.
Research from Vanderbilt University has shown psychopaths tend to generate a lot more dopamine. In addition Dr. Kent Kiehl of the University of New Mexico believes in may be a disorder in the paralimbic system of the brain, a system known to be involved in emotion, inhibition and emotional control.
There isn’t much research funding behind this.
SOURCE & SOURCE
THE POPULAR STIGMA
While yes, many psychopaths have killed, murdered and raped, it’s definitly possible for someone with this disorder to lead a completely normal life and even be successful.
Take neuroscientist James Fallon, for example who discovered he had a similar brains scan to that of a psychopath and after going through a series of genetic tests, it was confirmed.
James never hurt anyone, he does admit he can be a little bit of a jerk sometimes such as not letting his grandchildren win at games, but he is far from dangerous.
He believes it’s because of his environment, he has a loving home. His parents loved, protected and gave him a lot of attention.
WHERE DO YOU FIT
Here’s a post that will lead you to a link of where you fit on the psychopath spectrum
I got 76% in the psychopathic spectrum.

I’m writing a story where a character is cursed and is immortal, and they were born in the victorian era and now it’s modern times. Anyway, do you have any tips on old fashioned language? -Anonymous
Well, that depends on your character’s background. For example, if they were born into the British upper classes, they’ll speak differently to if they were in the lower classes in America. See where I’m coming from?
Generally, for upper classes, go for long words and long sentences. Semi-colons are your friend. And for the lower classes, slang slang slang.
This is a gross generalisation, but hopefully it gives you the basic idea.
Also don’t forget that if the character’s immortal, they’re probably likely to have assimilated somewhat, so don’t be afraid to mix Victorian and modern language and speech patterns. It could add a whole other layer =]
Here are some awesome resources that explain things way better than I ever could:
- Victorian Language, a brief summary
- Criminal Slang, doesn’t have everything but does have it in context, which is helpful
- Victorian Slang Glossary, more comprehensive than the above
- The Etiquette of Conversation, more about how you should say things politely than what you should say, but you might find it useful =]
- Victorian Vernacular, a forum thread on Steampunk Empire with some cool links and tips
- And here’s a really cool collection of obscure English words
Apart from that, I suggest you just google the type of thing you want and/or read some Victorian books - start with Oliver Twist and go from there =]
I hope this was helpful!

are you telling me i could listen to the sound of a coffee shop on fire
